Alysia once had her books confiscated as a child because she was spending too much time reading and wasn’t speaking to the other children.
She decided to try and turn this into something that could make money and failed miserably so now she’s a writer. While only slightly less misanthropic as an adult, Alysia has been reading since she can remember and continues to love storytelling in all its forms. She holds a B.A. in Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California, and then decided she’d had enough of LA and moved back home to San Francisco. She obtained her MFA in Creative Writing for Fiction from San Francisco State University.
She has worked as a barista, a content review specialist, a quality assurer in the abuse department of a large San Francisco tech company, a manager, and a technical writer. She is currently on a sabbatical while pursuing various writing projects.
